The Opening Ceremony of the Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) – 7th intake in Hanoi

The Opening Ceremony of the Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) – 7th intake took place on the 30 July, 2018 at Daewoo Hotel, Hanoi. There are more than 50 distinguished guests who are the representatives from Swiss Embassy in Hanoi, AIT Vietnam Director, the professors, guest speakers and the Alumni. The 2018-2019 intake has enrolled 12 participants among them eleven (11) are the professionals working in the field of development in South East Asia, and one (1) from Ecuador.

Opening the Ceremony, Dr. Fredric William Swiercrek shared a short talk about the Climate Change and the linkage between this topic with global development issue. After that, Dr. Nguyen Hương Thuy Phan, the academic coordinator of the program, emphasized the important contribution of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and other partners in the region in fostering the program. She also had valuable advices for the participants which will help them to have better preparation for the program.

The ceremony continued in open atmosphere with some other sharing from Alumni and the class representative. Those speeches inspired the participants a lot and they were all excited about their upcoming time with the program. The ceremony were successfully ended by group photo activity and the gala dinner.
