It’s essential for the trainers to identify their responsibilities and duties as official trainers of the project. The project also invited Ms. Hoang Ngan, representative of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Vietnam (FES) that implemented Green Office training delivered by AIT-VN under the guidance of Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hoai to share FES’s GO program. She emphasized on how FES called for engagement of FES staff and the importance of leader’s commitment and encouragement that inspired the staff and ensured the program to run smoothly.

Another interesting speaker at the ToT was Mr. Tran Quy Nang – Facility Manager of One UN House Hanoi that has been the very first certified green building in Vietnam with thorough investment in both facilitations and operations. He said that “The facility plays a very imporatant role in a green building, however; the operators and the staff working inside the building are the ones to assure that it will be on purpose.

The objective of the ToT is to empower the participants with knowledge and skills to implement GO program, facilitate GO initiatives and establish action plans and policies on Sustainable Consumption for organizations and enterprises.

After the ToT, a group of suitable candidates for official GO trainers will be selected to serve the full implementation of 10 Green Offices in the three target cities.
