The workshop will outline 3 important topics in the development trend of the Project Management industry in 2020, including:

Topic 3: Digital in Construction Practice
With first topic, Prof. Hadikusumo shared that “in construction projects, conflicts may occur because of opportunistic behaviors and mistake of coordination in project stakeholders such as client, designers and contractors. Many new approaches are developed to reduce or eliminate negative impacts of such issues. One of the recent new development is Integrated Project Delivery system. IPD is considered a new approach because it required the changes of mindset, structure, and contracting and information management in construction project management”. In this seminar, Prof. Hadikusumo will explain what are the strategy, process and contents of IPD.
On the second topic was the presentation of Mr. Nguyen Khuu Trong Luat – Head of BIM Cotteccons Vietnam. He has many years of experience in applying BIM in Cotteccons’s Construction Management projects. BIM is a promising technology to improve construction project delivery in terms of information sharing and management. BIM can be used to synchronize and integrate designs and construction drawings by the designers, contractors and subcontractors. In this seminar, Mr. Luat will present a case study in Vietnam on how to use BIM to increase the level of integrated project delivery.
The third topic is the special presence of Dr. Lee Seok Hong, will present how to apply Digital in current construction projects in the world. Don’t miss the opportunity!

Short about our special guest – Dr. Lee Seok Hong – Senior Technical Advisor of Hyundai Engineering and Construction:
Since 1995 Dr. Lee has worked for the Advanced Material R&D Team at Hyundai E&C and led the research on concrete, asphalt, road pavement and Intelligent Transport Systems for many years. In January 2015, Dr. Lee Seok Hong was appointed as CTO/ Senior Vice President for Hyundai E&C in Korea, after serving for nearly 20 years in the company. He has taken full control of R&D activities in Hyundai E&C since then. He leads the R&D Division not only in developing novel technologies but also building an R&D innovation system with the goal of sustainability and higher value. Marquis “Who’s Who in The World” has nominated him for contributing to construction technology development and the growth of the industry. In 2015, Dr. Lee was awarded the Presidential Medal by the Korean government for great achievement in the construction sector. Dr. Lee has also served as Vice Chairman for the Korea Society of Road Engineers since 2015.
