Opening Ceremony of DPP – the 6th Intake 2017

On 31st July 2017 at Press Club Hanoi, the 6th Opening Ceremony of the Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) took place successfully.

The ceremony with presence of the First Secretary, Cambodia Embassy to Vietnam – Mr. Bun Khunny; Mr. Yann Righetti – Academic Associate, Embassy of Switzerland to Vietnam; Dr. Alexander Dormeier Freire – DPP Program Director; Dr. Fredric W. Swierczek – Director of AITCV; Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Hoa – Deputy Director of AITCV; Ms. Nguyen Huong Thuy Phan – regional academic coordinator of DPP, the DPP participants, DPP Hanoi Team and AITCV staff.

After opening speech of Dr. Fred and Dr. Freire, the DPP representative of this year show her expression that she believes this 5-week-course will bring her and others many befiniciaries to individuals and their organizations in the development policies and practices, contribute to community development. Also during the course, they can exchange culture and understand the policies and practices at regional countries.

On the same day, in the morning and afternoon sessions, the participants had opportunities to get acquainted with everybody, with lecturers and DPP Hanoi team. They were also oriented about the course contents, schedule and its regulations. The opening ceremony of DPP – the 6th Intake followed by the group photo and closed with a buffet diner.

The DPP program takes 6 months with 3 modul. Modul 1 in Vietnam will last 5 weeks – this year from 31st July to 31st August 2017. Modul 2 takes place in participants’ countries and will last for 4 months – called the country project. The participants will be at workplace and will use the E-learning platform of the program. The participants will complete the last modul – Modul 3 in Switzerland (3 weeks).
