August, 25 – 27, 2017 – Green Office Vietnam project (GO-VN) successfully implemented training of 20 GO auditors and introduction of GO assessment toolkit.

 Participants of the training were outstanding nationwide candidates who have years of experience in the fields of environment, environmental audit and related.

Contents of the training focused in GO-VN approach and 5-base assessment toolkit of the project. The approach is to do greening office based on 5 key domains of consumption that are Electricity, Water, Paper, Office Supplies and Waste management through sustainability-driven bahavioral changes and GO initiatives implementation.

Accordingly, the auditors will use the GO-VN assessment toolkit so as to generate a baseline of consumption before the GO-VN intervention and to evaluate “greening” process of participating offices after GO-VN training and initiatives. This is a difference of the GO-VN approach compared to other standards such as ISO, Green Building…

In order to have the participants learn the toolkit, Mr. Hoang Thanh Ha who is  technical staff of GO-VN project facilitated the training with methods of approach learning, individual and teamwork excercises.

Alongside, Mr. Mai Huu Tuyen who was Certificate Managerment/Senior Auditor of Bureau Veritas Vietnam shared his experience of system auditing over the past 15 years.

The objective is that an GO-VN auditor will play roles as a consultant on GHG emission level of GO initiatives to meet the requirment of the project’s standard; as well as an auditor to assess “greening” level as a base to get GO-VN certificate.

Thanks to the training, the project received lots of feedbacks on the toolkit, which will be valuable resource for finalizing and full deployment.

The full deployment will start from October 2017 to May 2018 and be followed by the assessment stage that will be held from June to August 2018.
