Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the booming development of technology, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), have brought outstanding solutions to traffic problems in big cities in Vietnam and worldwide. In order to optimize the latest applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in traffic control and control, the University of Transport has cooperated with the Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AITCV) and other relevant departments to organize the international conference “Application of artificial intelligence in transportation” (AITC 2020) at the University of Transport in Ho Chi Minh City, on the morning of December 11, 2020.

Attending the seminar were: Mr. Hoang Thanh Nam – Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Transport; Mr. Tran Quang Lam – Director of City Department. HCM City; Mr. Tran Ba Luan – Director of the Department of Transport of Binh Duong Province; Mr. Pham Van Canh – Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Long An Province; Mr. Dang Hoang Tuan – Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Long An Province; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Long – Rector, Dr. Phung Van Dong – Director of the Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AITCV) and 200 delegates, scientists, lecturers and students.
AITC2020 is the gathering and exchange place of managers, scientists, domestic and international experts on the application of Artificial Intelligence in the transportation field. In which, the keynote speakers who are leading experts in the fields related to image processing technology, big data processing, traffic organization, logistics and sensor technology will present and share the latest research on technology application in urban traffic management and administration.

The Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam is proud to be the co-organizer of the seminar, as well as a strategic partner of the University and related Departments in providing training and transfer solutions technology as well as capacity building for traffic managers. At the end of the seminar, on behalf of organizing committee, the co-chairman Dr. Phung Van Dong – Director of the Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam gave a speech summarizing the main activities that took place and send appreciations for the valuable professional contribution of the guests.. The AITC 2020 workshop was a great success, it is hoped that from the scientific reports at the Conference, managers will apply them into practice to thoroughly solve problems in the transport sector in Vietnam today.
