On June 18, 2021, the Doctorate of International Business Administration (DBA) class of AIT Vietnam opened the fifth course. This is a very special opening ceremony, held right in the Covid-19 season.

The opening ceremonies at AIT Vietnam are regular activities to welcome new students who enter the journey to conquer knowledge at AIT. However, in the situation of epidemic and social isolation, the ceremony was held online, in order to ensure the social distancing, but still maintain the solemn atmosphere, and the determined spirit of the practitioners.
Attending the ceremony were Dr. Phung Van Dong – Director of AIT Vietnam, Dr. Roger Levermore, Dean of AIT’s School of Management (SOM), students of course 5 of DBA program, AIT Alumni and all officers and employees of AIT Vietnam.
At the beginning of the program, Dr. Phung Van Dong – Director of AIT Vietnam gave a congratulatory speech to the students, as well as a brief introduction about AIT Vietnam.

Next, Dr. Roger Levermore, Dean of the School of Management (SOM) gave a speech introducing the program and subjects as well as welcoming the students participating in the international 5th class of DBA Program.
The opening ceremony also had the appearance of Mr. Le Thanh Hao, president of AIT Alumni Association in Vietnam, Mr. Dao Hoang Duong – former student and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Khanh – current student of the program, sharing about the experience as well as providing useful tips for new students of the 5th Class.
After that, the students of the 5th Class of DBA program introduced themselves, as well as shared their experiences and goals during their time studying and researching at AIT, with an open, friendly atmosphere and a spirit of determination to conquer new heights of knowledge.

At the end of the ceremony, the representative of the School, the representative of AIT Vietnam and all the staff at AIT Vietnam wished all the students good health, success and excellent completion of the training program. The ceremony ended, and opened a new chapter in AIT Vietnam’s journey to empower Vietnamese human resources.
