This morning, March 18, 2022, Van Lang Education Group signed MOU with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). It is an important milestone towards building a new educational institution, providing high-quality human resources for the domestic and foreign labor market.
DR. Nguyen Cao Tri – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Van Lang Education Group, Chairman of the Council of Van Lang University, shared: Van Lang University has had a cooperative relationship with AIT for many years. Besides, many VLU lecturers graduated from AIT from 1998 to 2007. With AIT’s long history and the relationship between the two units, we believe that this project will be successful, although we need to make a lot of effort.
Connecting online from Thailand, Dr. Eden Woon – President of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), said that that important signing event would be the first step for a long journey that Van Lang University and AIT will continue to accompany to build a university in Vietnam that have the same standard with AIT in Thailand.

The event opens up opportunities for Vietnamese students to have the best conditions to access prestigious programs of AIT – the leading research institute in Asia.

On July 22, 2020, Van Lang University was the first university to sign a strategic cooperation agreement with AIT on educating and research projects in Technology, AI, Data Science, Economics, etc.
On September 30, 2020, the Signing Ceremony between the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Van Lang University took place, with 12 Unified programs signed, helping learners to flexibly choose their curriculum, studying 3.5 years Bachelor’s program in Vietnam before studying 1.5 years in Thailand to receive one degree from VLU and one Master’s degree from AIT.
