On November 12th, 2021, the Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AIT Vietnam) held the opening ceremony of the Chief Digital Officer program (CDO) Course 1. This special ceremony was held online to comply with social distancing regulations due to the bad effects of the Covid-19
The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) program of AIT Vietnam is a completely new program, born based on the urgent needs of society to meet the revolutionary changes in the VUCA era, in order to redefine business model in a new “uncertainty” state.
Launched after a long period of research, distillation and mapping from successful Digital Transformation models as well as the philosophies of multinational companies and corporations around the world, the Chief Digital Officer program brings a fresher, more intuitive view for learners to help shape the Digital transformation journey for a business or organization.

AIT Vietnam’s Chief Digital Officer Program was built to train a team of “Commanders” – leading the Digital transformation journey of agencies, businesses and organizations, contributing to the success of the National Digital Transformation Program, towards building a Digital society – a Digital Nation.
The course’s lecturers are leading experts in relative industry such as Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Design Thinking, Business Administration Consulting, Customer Management… The knowledge is highly applicable, associated with the reality of businesses and suitable to the general socio-economic context of Vietnam and the region.
CDO 1 course has been successfully opened and received great feedbacks from students who are business owners or holding key roles in the process of Digital transformation of businesses or organizations. Following the success of course 1, course 2 will soon be launched by AIT Vietnam to meet the needs and expectations of customers for a completely new role in today’s society, the role of Chief Digital Manager.
