On 17-18 October 2026, Dao Thi Thanh Hoa, a student in the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA8) program at AIT Vietnam’s Hanoi campus, participated in Create Lasting Impact Hackathon 2026 at the School of Management, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Asoke Campus, Bangkok, Thailand. As part of Team Fund A Future, she contributed to a proposal to improve the information management system of iCare Thailand Foundation, earning the team the The Most Innovative Award, one of four awards presented at the competition.

Held under the theme “Co-creating Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Community Impact,” the hackathon challenged participants to develop innovative solutions that deliver positive and sustainable outcomes for communities.

Team Fund A Future comprised Thanh Hoa, Naseef Rahman, an AIT Thailand student, and Min Thet Htwe, an independent participant. The team was mentored by Seth Aye Win, Founder of Foundry, Empowering Youth for Future Success in Thailand.

The team’s proposal focused on improving the customer relationship management (CRM) system for iCare Thailand Foundation. The solution aims to optimize data management and improve the tracking and reporting of scholarship recipients’ academic progress. It also seeks to strengthen coordination among schools, teachers, donors, and the foundation, enabling stakeholders to work together more effectively in managing the scholarship program.

Reflecting on her experience, Thanh Hoa highlighted the support she received from AIT Vietnam and AIT Thailand in taking part in the international academic competition. She shared:

“I received thoughtful support from AIT Vietnam and AIT Thailand to participate in the competition. I feel fortunate that our team developed a solution that made a positive impression on the judges. More than the award itself, however, the opportunity to work intensively over two days with faculty members, business leaders, mentors who are AIT alumni, and the judges was invaluable to me.”

Through academic and practical initiatives such as Create Lasting Impact Hackathon, AIT students have opportunities to exchange knowledge, build international connections, and apply their learning to real-world challenges. These experiences also enable students to learn from industry experts, business leaders, and the wider AIT alumni community.

AIT Vietnam congratulates Dao Thi Thanh Hoa and Team Fund A Future on their achievement at Create Lasting Impact Hackathon 2026.
