Successful Study tour on “Identifying Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Technologies in Vietnam” for eight officers from the Ministry of Mines and Energy of the People’s Republic of Cambodia
From 24th to 26th September 2018, the study tour on “Identifying Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Technologies in Vietnam” was successfully held by Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AIT-VN).
The program was held in Ha Noi and other provinces nearby like: Dong Anh, Phuc Tho, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thach That, Bac Ninh. The participants included 8 senior officers from Ministry of Mines and Energy of the People’s Republic of Cambodia.
The study tour was implemented on the platform of lecture and field visits with a view to the experience sharing and idea exchange on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Technologies in Vietnam. After the opening speech of AIT-VN’s director, Dr. Fred, the presentations at the AIT-VN was highly appreciated by the participants. They raised many questions to the related themes for the expertises. In the presentation, several technological features and energy saving solution in brick production, beer industry, garment industry and in typical energy systems (steam, compressed air, fan pumps, cooling systems, evaporative cooling systems) was presented. After that, an overview of renewable energy development in Vietnam was presented.
In the afternoon and the remaining days of the study tour, the participants had chance to visit many factories like: Vietnam Boiler JSC., Nam Anh Biomass Ltd., Tinh Loi Garment Factory, Mavin Ausfeed JSC., Xuan Phuong Beer factory and Nam Son Tunnel factory in Hanoi and provinces nearby mentioned above. The participants were very satisfied with the field visits, because they can get much useful information they expected from this program.
The study tour ended with the farewell party hosted by AIT-VN a nd awarding certificates to participants.
In general, the program was assessed to be successfully implemented with high training quality, satisfactory organization and logistics arrangement by the participants.
