Human Resources – the key factor to ensure production and business

That is the statement of Mr. Tran Viet Anh – Deputy General Director of Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1) at the 2020 Human Resource Training and Development Conference taking place on June 25, 2020 in Vinh city. Nghe An province)

Attending the Conference were Ms. Phan Thi Hong Hanh – Deputy Head of the Organization and Human Resources Department, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), Mr. Phung Van Sinh – Member of the Board of Directors, leaders of departments, offices, EVNGENCO1’s affiliated units and regular cooperation training institutions with the Corporation such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Northern Electricity College, City Electricity College. Ho Chi Minh, Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam.

The conference on training and development of human resources in 2020 of EVNGENCO1 was held to summarize and evaluate the results of the 2016-2020 period, and at the same time create a forum to exchange and learn from each other; discuss building plans, solutions to organize effective and professional implementation in training and human resource development in the coming time, strengthen cooperation with universities in training activities.

At the Conference, solutions to improve quality as well as difficulties in training were shared and exchanged by representatives of companies and training institutions. The problems were partly answered by the leaders of the Organization and Personnel Department of EVN and the leaders of the Corporation.

Power Generation Corporation 1 is currently managing and operating 09 power generation units (including 04 thermal power units, 05 hydroelectricity units). After the expanded Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant came into operation in early 2020, the total installed capacity of Power Generation Corporation 1 is 7,689 MW (accounting for about 14.3% of the whole system’s capacity).

In order to accomplish those goals and tasks, in the period 2016 – 2020, the Corporation has organized many training courses to strengthen and improve management capacity and professional skills; intensive training programs oriented to the development of specialists; training programs for the titles of operation, repair and preparation for production … Thus, human resources are ensured in sufficient quantity, quality, on time, to meet operational requirements.


The conference had the full participation of all units in EVNGENCO1

In the coming period, human resources are expected to continue to be the driving force for Power Generation Corporation 1 to develop quickly, strongly and sustainably.
